Pretzel Crisps Review

Krave Beef Jerky Review

First off I have to say i was very excited to review this product, Krave Beef Jerky is right up my ally. I love meat, what can I say. I've tried not eating meat, it lasted about a week then I broke down and ate some delicious bacon. So when the wife (Aimee) came to me and said eat this meat and write a review for it I said "thank you." 

Krave jerky is awesome. They have a great variety of cool flavors that use all natural ingredients. I use to think that all jerky was dry and leathery strips of meat and that's how it was supposed to be. Man was I wrong, Krave Jerky is so moist and beautiful and tender. Oh how I wish there were more words in the dictionary, that I could think of at this moment, to explain the taste of this Jerky. It almost melts in your mouth, and you don't feel like you just ate something that was sitting in a vat of salt. Or something that was attached to a shoe at some point in time like some of the gas station Jerky I have had. The only time I have had something like this was when I have had home made jerky. But even then I have never had any with these flavors (Black Cherry Barbecue, Basil Citrus, Chili Lime, Garlic Chili Pepper, Lemon Garlic, Pineapple Orange, Grilled Sweet Teriyaki, and Sweet Chipotle) you can order them from KRAVE.

If you like jerky you will love this jerky, heck if you don't like jerky (like Aimee) you will more than likely love this jerky (like Aimee) it's just that good.

  I got my iPad as a birthday gift last July. I didn't get the 3G version because I really didn't think I would need Internet on it outside my house, that's what my iPhone is for. But the good thing is that a lot of places have free wi-fi now. Its like having a computer at your finger tips, without having to carry around a heavy laptop. I'm using my iPad to write this review.
  The ipad is a wonderful tool for many things reading books, games, searching the Internet, watching movies and tv and so much more. It comes with apps already installed to get you started. The iBook app, for reading books. You can download books from the iTune marketplace. In the App Store there are many other apps you can download for reading books, you can even download a kindle app to read kindle books on. There's apps for watching tv from various tv networks, there's Netflix and Hulu. So many apps to enjoy.
  Another great thing is the games. There are a lot of free/paid iPad games to download. I usually just get the free ones, they are very enjoyable. Every time I go see my four year old niece and one year old nephew they always get in my bag and pull the iPad out to play with. It's crazy how fast kids learn technology these days.
The iPad is about twice the size of a kindle which I don't mind. Bigger size is great for video watching but at night it makes holding it a little harder to read at night. This hasn't been a huge issue though. Over all I think the iPad is a great product and I recommend it.

  Looks wise it is cool, just the right size, not to big not to small. I got this as a birthday gift from Aimee it was a Kindle or a PSP Vita, I picked the Kindle. Do I regret it, no not at all. I knew that after a few months into owning the PSP I would be tired of it and then pick it up once in a while. On the other hand with the Kindle I can read books, comic books, watch movies, and surf the web. As long as I'm in a WiFi area.
  As far as reading function goes I have always been a hands on kind of guy. I like real books, the way they feel and the way they smell. So when e-readers first started coming out I scoffed at them saying "they will never last." I have said this about a lot of things before (CDs, DVDs, Blu Rays). And every time I'm wrong. My wife, Aimee, ended up getting an iPad for her birthday and after playing with it for a bit I was sold. Tablets are cool, very cool. I wasn't a fan of the size, or the price, but it's very cool and easy to use. So I wanted one. I did some research and decided on a Kindle. When I got mine first thing I did was download a bunch of books I have wanted to read. I also downloaded some I have already read (John dies at the End). I love it. A great thing about tablets is reading in the dark. This is great for when your bed partner is sleeping. It's the perfect size, and I like that I don't have to worry about messing my books up. It's not heavy, it's much lighter then carrying all the actual books around. It has some awesome apps it's almost as useful as my iPhone. Down side is, not 3g capable. Not that I would want to pay for a 3g plan anyway but it's nice to have the option for other people. But In my opinion it doesn't take any points away from the great product. I love it might not be the one for everyone but if you are looking for cheap and easy this is for you.


We have written all of our reviews on our respective tablets. Then we email them to ourselves to post them from the computer. We both love our tablets respectively. And recommend both. Choosing which all depends on what you want and how much you want to spend.

Verizon Fios Home Monitoring Review

 We want to start off by saying we love Verizon Fios. We have our cable and internet through them and don't plan on switching anytime soon.

   

   A few months ago when we went into a Verizon store we noticed their new Home Monitoring System, $89.99 for the starter kit then $9.99 a month after that.  With the starter kit you get a gateway device (which is basically a router), an indoor camera, and an indoor light module.  There are also many add-ons you can get.  We got the deadbolt keypad lock for $159.99.  The thing that got us was that we didn't have to pay anything then, they could spread out the payments for the next three months of our Verizon bill.  If we had to pay right then we wouldn't have done it. We thought this would be a cheaper security system, no contracts and we do all the monitoring.

This sounds way more awesome then it is, let's not waste any time and get to  why we say such things. We are very handy and tech savvy people, Cody would even go so far as to call himself a handy man. So the physical installation was not a problem (Cody did most of it, lol) but when we got to the tech set up the website wasn't running right and we had to call the tech support team three different times. 2 out of 3 where helpful but one of them Cody wanted to smack them through the phone. No one is a fan of rude tech support people. Just because you know what you are doing doesn't mean that everyone does, especially  when your website is not working correctly.

   

   Anyway lets go for its function. It works but not the way it was explained to us. We were told that if the motion detector camera went off we would be sent a picture text message of what set it off. That is not the case. The couple times it was set off by our dog we didn't receive a picture of him jumping around being awesome and doing awesome things  just a text to a link. The link takes you to the website where you have to sign in and there is still no picture just a message saying that the motion sensor was set off at this time, on this date. They have a smart phone app, which is great for monitoring. Downside, you can only have one user monitoring  on the app at a time. So it's kind of a pain to try to sign in and not be able to. Then you text the the other person to ask if they are on, and sometimes no one was on but it wouldn't let you in. We got the Home Monitoring System to take some stress off Cody's mind but it just added more to it.

   

   All this being said we sent it back. We're not willing to pay for something that only works 50% of the time. This could be a great product but right now we feel that Verizon Home Monitoring is not worth the trouble. We have been trying to get our money back and our bill straightened out for the last 4 months. As of now we are still waiting for the refund, we haven't payed it but its still on the bill. They say its coming so we'll see what happens.

   

   This product was not for our family, but it might work for someone else's, that up for you to decide. This has been our honest opinion.
